The one issue I had is that in more solid waves, because they have such a wide tail, they can be harder to get on rail quickly as the lift and speed they generate with the initial drop when accompanied with a harder faced wave means that you can't always get the first turn in without making a full bottom turn. I'm not knocking Tomo boards at all, I'm a huge fan they give a lift and speed that's unique and I'm really glad I rode them. I've been riding Firewire Tomo boards for around 3 years and I'm finding that i'm getting in the water more at the moment and wanted a board that was more traditional and better in more solid waves. it definitely works well in both conditions and is easy to surf, easy to catch waves and really lively.
